For me, the most visually spectacular windsurfing move has to be the forward or spin loop. I know that pros say it is not one of the hardest technically, but visually I think it wins hands down.

I am interested to get the opinion of others.....which move is the most visually spectactular???

Hey nutbag, how can you say that. No way is downhauling a sail better than outhauling. Outhauling sh!ts all over downhauling!

I love watching stalled forwards but it's the double forwards that blow my mind.

i'm with nutbag!

downhauling is hardcore. particularly when a winch is used.

especially if the winch is attached to a 4wd.

I loop regularly without my gear

Does that count?

It is generally very spectacular to watch

When I am at skool and I am as bored as hell I will occasionally go onto Boardseeker and cruise through the moves and movies part of things. sometimes my freinds like to know what windsurfing is lol so i show them some moves like double forwards and bckloops. I think the best reply i got was HOLY **** from one of my better freinds when he saw Jonas Cebalos with one of his HUGE backloops at POZO. Then the next biggest reaction was to a guy loosing control half way through a double forward ends up spinning sooo fast and breaking his ankle. But the reaction was there lol.

So to the untrained eye i think it is height first. Then spinning really fast. personally I think that 1 handed double is cool. or a goiter. or a burner. I rekon that they should invent a move called a "rewind" where u do a push loop and as u are falling quickly through in a forward. that would look cool.

To all those people trying to get more people into the spor just show them some fotage of the pro's and they will wana do it. Almost everyone at my skool has asked for lessons after seeing the pro's. They seem to think that windsurfing is some lame back and forwards thing and don't realise the possibilities.

so yer

Ill blow my own horn here, me windsurfing nude across the Broadwater on the Gold Coast through the middle of about 15 other sailors was, I believe, visually pretty spectacular! but for those that have witnessed, it is closely followed by Toots powered up in 25 knots ! beats a foward loop handsdown!

Double loops, followed by 1 handed stalled forwards and then probably backloops (cause of the action of the sail through the move). All moves have to be clean though thats what makes them stand out. Why the loops over new freestyle moves, cause with the loops you actually see whats happening. Alot of the spinny sail flippy moves happen so quick you go what was that and after a while they all just tend to look the same.

JV sails used to have a tophaul... thats where it's at- watching the wince as the skinny mast top pushes into their foot.

Big stalled end over end forwards.

Big pushies. While the backloop is harder(to land anyway)the pushloop is way more spectacular imo.
