I'm trying to get the two together but having trouble with the hole at the top of the ezzy skinny mast being too small for the tapered knob at the top of the mast head of the NP Zone sail. Does anyone know if you can get a bigger hole from the top of the NP Masts to fit into the skinny????? You cant remove the knob from the top of the NP Zone, so I'm stuck with it.

You might be able to get an NP top plug for your Ezzy mast. But be careful, you must sand the NP plug smaller or you may split your skinny when puttin' it in.
OR, NP have now released skinnies as well, you may be able to get a plug from your nearest NP stocker...
Good Luck.

Trust Nelli Pride to make something different to everyone else to try and get u to buy their masts.
Try a rubber grommet designed for puttin wiring thru sheet metal (such as car firewalls).... any auto place such as Coventry's or elec place such as Atkins Carlisle.
You should be able to find a rubber grommet with O.D same as your mast (I.D of the mast) and an I.D same as the sail head plug

Poida,
You can change the plug on the top of your Zone and replace it with a thinnner one that will fit into the Ezzy skinny.
There is a short length of webbing that holds the plug in place. The plug itself has one side slightly higher than the other.
You should be able to jiggle it out with a screw driver and a set of long nose plyers... just be careful not to fray the webbing or damage the sail.
I have to ask though.... why are you trying to use an Ezzy skinny on a Pryde Zone ?
The Zone's were not designed to rig on the Ezzy skinny... the mast has the same mcs rating BUT flexes (bends) in a different places resulting in the sail not setting properly.
A mate of mine has a a set of Pryde SEARCH's which he used with a standard mast for ages and loved em. He was then bullied into buying a set of Ezzy skinnies and then couldn't work out why they looked so good but rigged and felt so bad !
And just for the record, I use North Viper (100% carbon) masts with my Pryde's and they rig and work a treat so it is possible to mix and match masts with Pryde sails. You just have to try a few different masts out till you find one that works well (flexes in all the right places)

thanks for the advice.
a complete set of matching 2006 gear would solve the problems.
The NP plug is a moulded fitting and doesnt look like can be taken off except with a hacksaw.
I'll tell after next weeks trip up north if the bend is all wrong for the sails. the zone is a 4.2m2. I have a few different sails in my set now (2003 models) 2 severnes, a np core and a np zone. Not ideal I know but economical. I changed the plug on the core but cant on the zone. I have the NP C30 mast but was looking for something a bit stronger in masts and managed to buy an ezzy skinny, used only a few times, for a good price. If it sails like **** I'll rig it on the c30 np mast.
I'm looking at throwing the unit at the double bubble next week and will probably end up with a bag of trashed gear afterwards. (swell looks to be happening there)

A NP plug will fit an eZZY mast and will also take almost all other sails on it as well but still you have the curve problem
