has anyone out there tried the naish hybrid? it looks like it could be a fun board though it's a bit out there and not the kind of board you want to buy with out knowing to much about. most of the people i have talked to about it(about three)think it is good for freeriding but it is a bit limited though they are all on the 110 and i was thinkning about the 78l version. thanx __________________ Life is but a dream, from which we all must wake.
I sailed the hybrid 89 (that’s the small one) for most of the time when we were in Cocos (should mention how nice it is there). It's a great board for blasting. Has a very quick feeling but is still very controllable (no nose to bounce around) and easy to gybe. Although I found it early planning, it isn't a nice board to dog on. Its real strength appears when really well powered as you remain in control and simply accelerate. With this said I probably should point out that I am only about 55kg. For a heavier person this board can nose dive quite easily when you fall off the plane. But once you get used to it you can adapt to prevent this.
If you are sailing somewhere with a consistent (strong) wind, or looking for a high wind board for someone 70kg+, I would definitely recommend it. I had a great time sailing on it in conditions from 15 to 30knots.
thanks for the comment jez. Though whats with everyone going to the Coco's, and not inviting me. sure i'm flat broke and just to drive down to the beach i am scratching around for money to get a little petrol, but that doesn't matter. if you offer to pay for me i will not knock you back on the offer, so anyone who is in a good mood and wants to share their wealth feel free.
