So here's the dilema.

I've just blown up the bottom of my 2013 95 simmer freewave, probably due to the heat in adelaide recently.
Bloody loved that board and was only 2 years old so pretty annoyed at the moment.
Now the issue, I'm not sure what to replace it with.
Had a look at a 2015 93 JP quad thruster pro which i can get for a good price and there is also a 2015 106 fanatic freewave in the TXtreeme version for sale locally but just not sure which way to go.
I weigh 86 kgs and predominately sail local onshore bump and jump stuff but want to get more into waves so was thinking the fanatic as a lighter wind wave board but it might be a bit too big for cranking 25 + knot onshore seabreezes we get at times here in the summer.
Over the last 2 seaons having just 1 board has worked out pretty well but I did find the simmer could be a bit of a dog in marginal stuff but when powered up was a pleasure to sail so am thinking the bigger Fanatic.
Anybody using the current JP 93 quad thruster, are they any good compared to a dedicated freestyle wave board of the same size?
Do they get up and plane early like the FSW?
Am also thinking the 93 JP for everyday stuff and later on a big wave board around the 110 to120 size.
I'm starting to get a headache now.
I have a feeling i might have to go back to a 2 board quiver. I used to have a 101 freestylewave and an 81 litre wave board for the crazy days.
Bit hard to cram 2 boards into a hyundai though.
Anybody got any suggestions on whats a good allrounder.
Been googling reviews but there's that many boards on the market at the moment it's mind boggling.
Can't afford a brand new board, especially if I end up with 2 but looking at as new as possible.

Try the 89l 2016 - fanatic tri wave - got one 6 weeks ago best allrounder ive owned - 4.0 blasting to 5.7 light wind wave sailing - im similar weight - and you can chuck a 23 or 24 single in for blasting but i havent as the small fins do the job.

Its great cross off - well balanced for float and ride - try and demo one if you can

Still use a 107 black box in super light wave sailing tho

JP is a dedicated waveboard so doubt you will like it for the current use you mentioned. Fpr getting into waves more you might want a waveboard, but depends what level you are at now
I second the 3S by the way... but for a FSW only.... it is pretty stiff on a wave

Just an update on where I stand with my Simmer.
Last couple of days theres been some wind around so I thought I'd give the board a go with its new reverse concaved bottom.
Rigged a 5.3 ( should have been on a 4.7) and went out Xmas evening for a bump and jump in 25 to 30 knots.
Spun out a few times at first and carving was interesting but after about 10 minutes I had a look at the bottom and the bloody things sucked back against the blank.
Never noticed any difference to normal for the next hour.
Yesterday had a morning 5.3 session and an arvo fully powered up on a 4.7 and blow me down the bloody things sailing as good as ever.
Thought I'd hear a hollow sound or someting but no, and when I push down on the underneath Theo's bugger all movement.
Put it down to cool board less air inside.
Still going to get another board but not panicking or miserable anymore.
I know that soon as the weather warms up again the boards bottom is gonna pop out again but at the moment all's good.
Leaning towards the Fanatic but a couple of guys have said to steer clear of the TXTreme version as they say the've heard a few have been broken and they're not that strong long term.
Go for the TE version.
Has anybody heard anything negative about the TX Treme boards?
Thinking I might go the 106 Freewave for daily driver and when finances allow get something around 88 ish for crazy days and waves.
I reckon I could use the Freewave for float and ride as well.

Morning and arvo sail yesterday,
Dawn surf and looking like a sail again this arvo.
Life's not bad eh?
I probably just put the whammy on it.

It sounds like you leave your vent screw done up :/

I remember a post here some years back. The poster had the same problem and he sucked the air out of the board with a kite pump before every sail

Board does'nt have one,
It's got one of those super dooper high tech NASA approved gortex, spandex self venting thingamajig plugs that probably didn't work.
On the up side it doesn't let any water in either.
