Got this sent to me in my email, May be an option for some to get a cheap action cam. Not sure on the quality but its the right price.

Cheers.

Not sure if the Kmart one could be called 'similar'? waterproof to 3m as opposed to 30m (we've got potholes in our roads that are deeper than 3m!) 720p against 1080p and very little other specs.

I've been looking at buying a cam for a while but can't justify the price-tag, I reckon I might give the Kogan a look at.

Kogan looks OK...but I reckon its a bit dodgy to compare the price with the GoPro Black.
The majority of the cost associated with the GP Black is with the Remote WiFi, not with the camera unit

A more accurate comparison would be with the GoPro White (@ $199)
PROS of the Kogan are a colour viewfinder
CONS are lack of high framerate (for slo mo) and battery life.

The proof is in the pudding... Without seeing any footage any comparison is pointless. Eg compare a Zeiss 1.4 35 mm lens with a Canon 1.4 lens. Specs for both are similar if not the same but the price of the Zeiss is almost triple. What you pay for is build quality, image quality and well... The name.

True, and you 'filmys' are more onto it than most of us. I guess the clincher is the 3 attachments included, free delivery to us out in the sticks and still <$140. I just haven't been able to justify the cost of a high-grade camera (go-pro) when I'll probably lose the thing off my board/boom on the first outing. I have disappointed myself in the past for going on 'price before quality'.
