Gday all, after a while out of the w/surfing ,Im keen to get back on board, havent been on a rig for 8 odd years ,and am looking at local private sale of 2 bic boards 1 large ? 1 smaller,1 mast,1 5.7 sail and boom all items for sale but i havent viewed them yet so have no real idea on dimensions...Now im 6 4" and 110kgs and was after some advise on what I will need to look for when I do view the boards....
Was a competent sailer back then so would rather persist with a intermediate set up rather than a full on beginner ..Living on northen beaches of perth but will hit the river till up to speed ...
Any advise appreciated...many thanks Andy

Boards wise, if you give yourself the option of light to moderate sailing plus stronger wind sailing, then width is a major determinant of the modern boards.

Lighter winds, you'd want a board of 70cm or more width, and with your weight volume of about 120 to 140 litres

higher winds, 90 to 100 litres of volume, 60cm or less width
