thinking of spending some time around Ballina,anyone know the good spots there?am only into flatwater,not waves, too ole fer thet ! Thanking you in adavance.

G'day Woody,
The river at the Sailing club in anything south or west is good.
South or East, Shaws Bay near the bridge.
Northeast can be sailed from the sand spit just east of SClub at high tide only but Byron or Yamba is best in Northerlies for flatwater.
It's been really up to s**t since easter thanx to the Gold Coast guys pinching all our wind

During the summer a few of the Balina flat water sailors head to Yamba and blast along the inner breakwall - but this time of year I don't think so.
