Hi Paul
Got your message
I made the right call with your help and Lano was sick (fully sick)
In 20 years of windsurfing I've never sailed in a combo of such strong cross offshore winds (30 knotts plus) and over mast high swell.
Awesome day my arms are so sore I can hardly type.
Just to gybe on that huge swell and look down into this valley of water I felt like I was on a mountain. It was a very humbling experience. It was breaking across the whole bay, Each monster face I sped down I just hoped that nothing would break it was an awesome day.
Hey Garry If your out there, that wave that chomped on you while you were trying to h2o start was like a train. It seemed like you and your rig were under for quite some time. I saw you riding the reform and even that looked 3/4 mast, Your a brave man droping in on some of those so late. Im calling it TITANIC TUESDAY.

Glad to hear you made the right choice. I should have gone with you. I had a few great warm up waves fully powered after watching the wind line for 2 1/2 hours sit just offshore. When it came in we had to swim to and over the reef to get to the wind. For 20 minutes it was going to be the best day in years. Just as I was getting sorted the wind dissappeared from the inside so we had to kick out early. We had one hour before we had to swim back in. The worst bit was there were only six guys out with plenty of waves and the crowds turned up after the wind had gone.
Poor Anika broke her mast on the reef before she even got to the waves. By the time she swam back to the beach the wind had gone.
It sounds like Lano was too big for me anyway, I probably would have lost my kit and drowned again.

Sorry about your day Paul but thanks for letting me know about the conditions down there. Anneka's getting hardcore, hey Say hello to the old girl for me If you look at the forums HI ANNEKA. Still can't stop thinking about yesterday, I looked at the beach today saw guys out and I couldn't do it If I went out it would have destroyed those memories of yesterday
Oops also a big thanks to Mattress Buster for his opinion too! keep pounding Matty.
