Hoping that someone can help me locate either second hand or brand new mechanical batten tensioners for my 5.8m Aerotech Free ride sail - pre 2001. I tried to get help from the American Distributor but haven't had any success.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the Australian Distributor, or, just if anyone has any of these and the screws they need lying around.

Thanks, heaps.

They don't look anything special, I have a feeling there's be a lot of other make tensioners that would work in there just as well.
The only problem I see is having to have different sized allen keys

I have at least 4 of them here, and I'll be in Cairns at the end of next week. How many do you need?

Thanks, Shane.

I would love to get the four you have. Or maybe a couple more if you can find them, just in case.

I'll be in Cairns Friday afternoon, if that suits.

Hope you enjoy your time up here, mate.

Thanks also, Decrepit and Ratz. This is my first forum entry and I couldn't be happier.

The aerotech ones are made of a very soft plastic and bend if you tension normal amount. If you can retrofit another brand your sail wont get a hooked leach. I found tushingham work.

It's indeed a great forum, doesn't get bogged down with having to be "on topic" 100% of the time. More like a big extended family really, there'll be disagreements, and stuff, that's inevitable, but basically it's a very friendly place to hang out.
