I'm going up to Wallis lakes this weekend but last time I was there I sailed out of the sailing club a couple of K's up the road. Does anyone know the phone number of the windsurfing place/ cafe as I want to check out sailing out of the Tiona caravan park. I've got a formula board with a 70 & 56cm fin and a slalom race with a 42cm for my wife. If anyone has some info or has the phone number can they post here or PM me. Thanks

I was there at xmas time. You will need to walk out a long way with a 70cm formula fin. I had a 34cm fin and found I had to walk about 100m.

Hi Guys, thanks for that. I think I'll stick with the sailing club launch area. At least I know where the kelp beds are and when the westerlies kick in the wife will just wash up on the nice sandy beach so I won't have to worry about her.
