Is there anyone here who can see Pelican Point or Applecross from their office?

I hate it when I leave work early because Seabreeze is reading 15knts on Melville water, only to get down there to find everyone is schlogging. I'm hoping an eye-in-the-sky could maybe provide an update when conditions get good

Find a wind tree near work. After much trial and error I have now got several trees near home and work that are good indicators for seabreeze strenght.

If there trees are moving its on and time to leave work.

I think I need a job that has a river/ocean view.

Maybe you could look into who runs the wind indicators for Melville Water, and we could fund an upgrade or additional reading location? Maybe there is SOMEONE at UWA who could install an anemometer and webcam on their roof?

As far as I am aware, there are two reading points for Melville water.

1 - Inner Dolphin Pylon (www.google.com.au:443/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode&time&date&ttype&q=31.9889%C2%B0S+115.8311%C2%B0E&ie=UTF8&ll=-31.989551,115.829887&spn=0.026716,0.045319&z=15&iwloc=addr&om=1)
2 - A buoy off the Applecross point.

Inner Dolphin Pylon is used for the BOM readings, and the other buoy is what Seabreeze uses. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
