Someone i know has just moved to perth, probably a rough intermediate as he hasn't sailed for 10 yrs but could waterstart and carve gybe back then.

He is looking for a one board does it all solution - for perth conditions ..so. decent sail size range for a bit of slalom/ freeride for winter river but also capable of giving him the taste for Perth onshore WAVE action with maybe a few trips upto lano / corros (if it's not too big).

He's about 75kg and looking to spend about 500 - 1000 on the board.

Any suggestions please??????

check out the Mistral Synchro. I reckon the 90L would be perfect all-round for his weight.

(In fact a mate of mine who is in exactly the same situation as your friend just bought a 90L Mistral Synchro and he is stoked).

It is very light, short, manouvreable and still has enough float to get him out on the river. Good sail range too.

there are so many boards like this on the market I am a fan of the Super X from Jp for this sort of riding..
If you want something a tade more forgiving go for the Freestyle wave..
