I have uploaded a few photos from down at Crazy Waves today. If you are in any of the photos send me a PM and I can send you a high res copy.

I hope everyone else is a sore as I'm from sailing today. Is anyone going to back up again tomorrow?

Looked like fun out there
After these few fronts, hopefully the sand bank will form up fully and crazies will be back on. That's if the Cockburn/Port Beach marina has not affected the sand movement along the coast
Crazies can be pretty tough on gear.

Was that a pretty small swell day or high tide?? Looks pretty small. Early for fronts still I guess.

I still do wonder if the Coogee development stuffed it as I remember and average front producing shoulder to head hi waves, if you got coupla fronts in a row so the swell really built up, there'd be half - 3/4 mast and peaking nicely. I hope it blows when I'm up in late June and late July as I'd really like to give it a go again... been a few years.

When WWA opposed Port Coogee marina (and by the way got NO response from Allanah "only one in step" McTiernan) our opposition was because the environmental impact study said the groynes would change the flow of sand along the seabed in that area.
Nobody could say for sure, but it is obvious that it would make Crazies cease to exist completely and look like the rest of the coast, OR make it a little better (shallower / larger).
I think it may be the former huh?

Any old timers like me around? Is it buggered up?

lol.
Crazy Mush.

I shouldn't laugh.
The wind is straight onshore so it's no picnic getting out thru that 'killer shore break'.
haha

Mark, I think its a bit early to tell whether the groynes have stuffed anything, Crazies usually takes a couple of fronts before the sandbar sets for the winter!
