There will be a protest march to parliment house in Adelaide today.
I'm a wine grape grower here in Barmera/riverland and the march is about getting some of our water allocation back! At present we are on 22% and this is not enough to keep our vineyards alive through the summer, already the citrus/stone fruit orchards have started to die and it will take years to replant.
The government says there is not alot of water in the system but there is plenty out there to buy or lease in at over $1200 meg!
This affects everyone even the Boggy lake guys(how deep is boggy?)and Lake Bonney, we must get more water released into the system that is being held back.
We need all the support we can get please join us on the steps of parliment house at 12pm today.
