I haven't been windsurfing for a while now due to the lack of wind. But this week there have been periods where the wind was quite strong (according to seabreeze). These winds were pretty unpredictable though.

I'm considering going tomorrow actually. In the morning. Are there ever strong winds in the morning?

I live about 50 minute drive away from wello. So I was hoping that the people that live at manly, wello, viccy point could tell me tomorrow morning, before about 9am or so, what the conditions are like.

If you could say the approximate wind speed and whether there are white caps on the water, etc. would be even better.

Thanks in advance

westerlies are usually strongest during the cooler parts of the day (from my experience anyway) being early mornings and later afternoon, and die back a bit at lunchtime as the air/land heats up and the seabreeze tends to fight against it. I'm not sure if that is really whats happening but my best guess

water just starting to whitecap generally = 9 knots on non tidal waters

good thing with wello is it can often be windier than it looks for some reason?

Might see you at wello on saturday

yes i am keeping an eye on Wello also, time of day doesnt seem to matter to much with the south/southwest but look at seabreezes and its pretty close, brissy, redcliffe, banana, will give you an idea....your asking for trouble relying on the locals....do you really think they wont set you up(25knts at 6.00am 25 degrees!)
I mean some of those guys are claiming to go 30/37 knts on flat water days!RUBBISH...................

Good to see that I'm not the only one hoping for good wind. It really does feel like years since last time the wind was truly blowing.

Looks like there's a little bit of wind this morning, but I have to work. I will definitely be going tomorrow thought, 23knots at 8:30am according to seabreeze.

I've got the whole day off tomorrow. Should I go in the early morning for the strongest wind? I usually stay out for about 3 hours, so would 8 to 11am be the best option? Or even earlier, or maybe in the arvo?
