Has anyone been taking advantage of the local wild weather conditions at the moment?

I am particularly keen to hear a report from members of the Burrum Heads Mob.

I sailed at Hervey Bay yesterday which was disappointing considering the foreast. Little chop, gusty wind and low water.

Synoptic Situation: A large 1041hPa high east of Tasmania and a trough off the tropical east coast have combined to produce a strong pressure gradient over the Southeast Queensland Coast. This is generating gale force winds and a gale warning is current for coastal waters between Sandy Cape and Coolangatta.

Large waves have developed overnight north of the Gold Coast. Conditions are more moderate on the Gold Coast. The State Emergency Service advises that people in the affected area should stay
clear of the water in the open ocean as large waves and rip currents develop.

Ducati you are most welcome to use our speed board. Its at Geoffs but I have not been able to contact him. Take him out for a sail to give him time off the nest.

Will get the team together soon for the northerlys at Burrum.

Have some great photos of darkest Africa to show over a few reds.

Hervey Bay finally performed for me yesterday afternoon.
I started by rigging up 5.8 but quickly changed down to a 4.7
Sailed until dark, went home exhausted and smiling.
