I was always very sceptical about mast performance until I experienced the difference the RDM mast makes over a conventional mast for this sail (which can legitimately - at least as recommende by the manufacturer - be rigged on a normal or RDM mast).
On a normal mast the sail has no bottom end and limited top end (very narrow range). On an RDM great bottom end, huge range (17-34 knots) and good control.
- Mast makes a difference - but the sail needs to be designed for it.
