watching those guys jump into each others' sails on the crash video; they must have graduated to kitesurfing!

Good find. I think I have the VHS at home somewhere, I think Rigmarole came out right after Instant Replay which proceeded Full Forward. Interesting to see that Bjorn was already using a thruster wave board back then (1st vid at 2:11), and only now NP/JP are actually bringing out a production model 3 fin wave board. The big jump at the end, isn't that the one where Laird is fanging on a speed board and does a jump which goes up nearly level with the chopper filming him?

Edit: the first NP video I had was Fast Forward, not Full forward...

Great vid capture!

In the last 12 or so months I've been watching lots of mid '80s to early '90s Ray Masters videos on-line at www.facebook.com/stableroad to inspire me to sail again. There would be easily 60+ windurf short movies all up including some modern ones from other film companies too. It's captured the evolution of the sport at its earliest, which I think is so important too see. It's been nostalgic for me and great fun to watch. Longboards, wave sailing, slalom and speed sailing are all covered.

Listen to R.Naish in "heartandsoulmoves.mov" regarding "modern equipment", his wisdom and question still applies today!

Anyway, watching them worked for me, I'm inspired and passionate again. Been a long time but I'm just as excited as I was back then. It's all good fun.
