Hey i am interested in purchasing a new (second hand) board and just need you guys to tell me if what i found was an alright deal.

I weigh 65kg and atm have a 103L board but want to get a smaller board, my 5m2 and 5.8m2 sails are what i use the most, 5.8m2 when the wind is between 18 - 23 knots and anything above i use my 5 or 4.3m2 sails.

I found a f2 in good condition. It's 87 Litres, year 2003 (or 2004), 256cm and costs 900 dollars. What do you guys think?

Hard to know?

Where and who are you buying it off?

What condition is it in?

What is the Model Name of the board?

What is the width? and Weight?

What do you want to do with this board? Are you keeping your larger board?

Its in good condition.

I windsurf in Perth, either the river but more recently safety bay.

I want a smaller board just so i have the option of either wave sailing or sailing in the river. When they had the severne + starboard day i tried out some of the smaller boards (80 - 90L) and found them enjoyable to thrash around. Im just looking atm, its not a definate buy.

The board is a F2MP85, not sure about the model name. Its at the store pelican point windsurfing. Im not sure about the weight or width .. i probably should have checked.

Im probably keeping my larger board but it's delaminating so may not be water worthy in the near future unless i sand paper it and fix it all up, which may just be a short fix as its delaminating in various places and i may aswell just invest in a new board (ie take on more shifts at work )

Hope this helps

That MP I guess is the Wave not the Style. If so those were great little boards, light and loose but not fast.
Because they are so light they are inclined to develop soft decks and when that happens its the beginning of the end unfortunately.
If you can feel the deck between the footstraps give a bit when you push it hard with your thumbs that means its on the way out.
