progress!

Are you moving up there to live?

you'll have to sell that slalom gear and buy some real men's gear for the chop and swell . You'll love it up there, though sorry to see you go.

Can you tell us about your job?

cheers

J

Sonic, I live in Redcliffe. Scotts point at Margate is good on NE and SE but rubbish if straight out of the east. Suttons beach is good for waves on SE. Queens beach (Just north of Griffith RD) is great on a big SE and Good for NE. Queens has a more protected swell on SE but still gets surprisingly big out back. I mostly go there when I don't have enough time to get to bar at Caloundra. Slalom gear is okay up to 20knts but after that you get launched all the time. You will find at Redcliffe you tend to be on 0.5 to 1 m smaller sail than anywhere else. Greenleader is right there a lot of jellyfish and turtles. At Scotts point I've even seen packs of stingrays schooling together. Still a good spot for clean wind and zero current.

As far as Moreton bay goes Redcliffe (Queens beach) is my favourite spot. Maybe I've just been lucky but the wind does seem much more consistent than say Manly. Had another great day on Sunday 4.5m/wave board, actually probably the best day this year.

Sounds good and i should have plenty of free time,i will be moving up on a temp bases(1st November) but suspect it will be around twelve months,my complex should be ready in Runnaway bay August 2008 (management rights)so it should work well. My family will stay on the Gold Coast so i will be back and forth. As you say its central for Wello and Caloundra. Really apprciate all the comments and advice...see you on the water or huddled around a few deck chairs talking the wind up. Vano....heard you might be interested give me a call.
Paul.
