Any tips on how to remove contact cement from the nose of my board, without removing much of the paint below? I also have some foam still stuck to the contact cement which makes it even harder to get off I think. FWIW my foam nose protector ripped off.

There's one solvent that works quite well, but I can't remember which one, try turps, kerosene or metho, I think it's one of those, and I'd go for turps first. None of those should hurt your paint job, unless it's something cheap and nasty.

WD40, cover nose with paper towel soaked in WD40 and let sit overnight, should be soft in the morning.

Turpentine works. Lay a paper towel soaked in turps on the area and leave for a few minutes.

Definitely do NOT use acetone or MEK. Those dissolve the paint.

Thanks, I'll test some turpentine on a small area.

Try oil, like cooking oil or whatever is cheapest. Oil is very good at dissolving sticky residue.
