Hi all,
we're doing a road trip north to close our studies at the end of the year with a few uni mates. Im the only windsurfer so im not sure how far we will be getting out of our way to some sailable spots.
We're spending 2 days in Jurien bay, 7 in Kalbarri, 4 in Nanga bay, and 7 in exmouth.
I know i'll be able to sail in jurien bay but what about the other places? Is there any wind in exmouth or is it completely protected by the land?

Where have you been the last few years????
There's been so many posts about how good exmouth is you couldn't have missed them.
Don't know about Nanaga, but there was a recent thread on Kalbari, think the answer was that the ocean is too dangerous and gnarly, and the river too protected.
Exmouth At the end of the year could be very windy, most people are going very soon, the season up there starts about now. We had it a few years ago mid October, on 4.0 to 5.0 wind came in about 1000, sailed every day for the week we were there. Your mates can explore the national park while you sail places like Sandy Bay, fantastic flat water blasting, just watch for turtles. There are wave spots there as well, if you're into them.
If you've got booties, take them, some of the spots have bad seaurchin problems.

Yes I wouldnt mind getting into some waves but the trip is also about drinking and fishing, so I'll be happy with whatever I can get where we stop!!
Cheers, sounds good then!!

You'll definatly get a sail in exmouth I would say with seven days up your sleeve you should get some swell in that time.
If you mates have a boat.
Sail out to yardie they can pick you up if you end up on the reef
Well worth it though
