Does anyone know of any good windsurfing spots around rottnest, I cant seem to find any info about locations on the net.
I am heading over for the weekend and if it looks like these easterlies persist, it might be worthwhile taking my kit over.

We had a thread a while ago about the transit reef, I think it should be fun in a strong easterly, but don't think there was any reply from somebody who'd done it. Needs a biggish swell to break, waves have to wrap around the North of rotto, ends up travelling almost due south, so it would be reverse tack for us. I surfed it in the late 60's so long ago can't remember much about the wave, except it was only waist high, but broke over a fairly big area, so it could be great for jumps, even if it doesn't peel off so well.

hey, family has a boat, we go there pretty much every december and again in january to Narrowneck/stark bay. The reef out from there is the best spot i know of, but for a SW, so im not sure about an easterly,

Thanks for the info guys..looks like the wind gods are going to take the weekend off again though. Yesterday there were a few more of those little green arrows on the wind graphs for saturday and sunday than there are today.
Damn these pleasant autumn days..
Looks like i'll be spending a bit of time at the quokka arms. Not all bad I suppose..

Cheers..

I couldn't think of anything better than anchoring up next to a rotto reef and scoring a decent sesh!

Any more room onboard???????
