OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was good yesterday from the NE ..now it is S/SE Funny place here, you could sail one day on starboard and the other on port.
Your presence was missed at Long Reef yesterday The northern beaches finally provided the right amount of wind and waves for a few of us to get out there amongst it.
Been few and far between this season in regards to longy actually coming up with the goods. Some very smackable little lips on offer along with enough wind to get you fanging straight off the beach and into the breakzone where the wave faces were perfect for sending you up and over ! With all the pent up frustration of a faltering northern beaches season it was no surprise to see pushies, back loops, stalled forwards and some super tweaked table tops being thrown with reckless abandon
Alas today it looks like there will be no more wind... at least the swell is still holding in and the water is warm and glassy
Good to hear it. Been sailing a fair bit down here though, despite it still not being a great season.
Peggy's is exactly like Makaha, waves are probably a bit smoother/tidier though, and there's no mega long journey out around a headland either. It's just a few hundred meters off the beach in front of where you park (for free). Got dragged across the rocks but no damage to rig, board or self.
Could do with a few more sailors. I was the only one out.
Ahh Comrade Qwerty you are the original soul man, out there on your lonesome. I hear you though, it's always good to have at least one other sailor around... it's pretty difficult asking yourself 'Did you see that ?' And there is simply no way of scoring bragging rights when you attempt a crazy big arse move as no one see's it... but as a soul man you are happy enough in the knowledge that you've done it.
and where would one find the mysterious Peggy? or do the local crowd keep her a secret for their own desires, she surely sounds like one wants to exlore her at some time.
Can't beleive I missed what was probably one of the the very few good days in Longy this season, sitting crying at Dee Why point as darkness set, after too many hours in the office.
But hey there is always Balmoral and long wetsuit wearing windsurfers with boardies above. Almost worthwhile just going there for this...
The mysterious Peggy lives in Bulli. Very popular surfing spot so nice manners are recommended. But they all seemed ok yesterday. Just know where they are and where the rocks are.
would be delighted to be introduced to Peggy too. Judging on all your smily faces she must be worthwhile a little visit! particularly if she's a bit reefy. all these sandy sandbars' sisters are ok but nothing like a reefy miss.
The South Coast is littered with good reefs for Southerly sailing. All being good on there day. I have never tried to tune Peggy, thus I haven't experienced her ride. I have however had a few reefs not far from windang in my time which can provide lovely great thrills. Going in and out, in and out and cuming in at the end of it all.
righto!!!I'm reassured now was starting to get confused as there is also that.. mmmm forum ..where there also a qwerty and a whyner ..not that I've been checkin it!!no no no only saw briefly
