Folks, I've just gotta say that I'm loving this sport. Went for a sail today on the northern beaches and had an absolute blast.
Even though I'm sailing on gear that has been donated, swapped, repaired, home-made and adapted (Wife & 3 kids) I still get a kick out of skimming across the water at sometimes way too fast a speed.
Starting to feel a little weary now as the pump is wearing off but can't wait to get out again soon. Big thanks to the guy who advised me on the length of harness lines (sorry didn't intro myself) and also the mast foot position thing.
One small snag, I've holed my Gasstra 5.4 sail during a spectacular dismount,

thought I would have broken something more, but just the sail. It's an older sail and has had some repairs done before, but I have had great use out of it and It's my biggest sail.
Question is what do you use to patch the sucker up, it looks like normal contact to me but am unsure

I look forward to reading this forum everyday and the topics are usually very entertaining to say the least. I've also had some great advice from you all at different times and as a result have progressed to an exciting stage in my boarding

.
Wishing you all a breezy new year.
Simon.
