Seeing the photo of the superbank at snapper rocks got me thinking. Is it possible to sail it in a SE or does it get protected by the headland?

I think you would struggle to get offshore unless you had a floater.
Even on a SW it's hard to get out because the headland causes the wind to eddy upwards and you get no wind near the shore.
