Been keeping an eye on the graphs.

Looks like a nice seabreeze is building.

Where would be the windiest sailing spot to go to after work?

cheers,
Ben

thats the thing

don't have a usual spot

just getting into sailing in Perth.

I can sail, but I'm from South Coast UK so don't know where to go yet.

I'm working right in the centre of town, have sailed on the river at Pelican Point and Applecross but I'm thinking it might not be so windy there.

Have also sailed at South Cottlesloe but smashed the nose off my board jumping in the chop.

any pointers gratefully received.

cheers,
Ben

are you new around here?...
depends what you want..it's windy anywhere on the ocean..should be stronger the further north you go.
where do you work?
check sailing spots on Windsurfwa website if you want to see where people sail on the ocean.
windsurfwa.com/index.html

but yes it's looooooking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'll be at dutchies after work

ok by the time I changed my post you had replied.

I 'll go to dutchies ( south Cott) because I live nearby.
but scarborough is not bad, maybe a better wave at the minute.
(although it is more like a shorebreak style wave)

"South Cottlesloe but smashed the nose off my board jumping in the chop"
with the mast ? or on the reef??Dutchies is choppy but it's an ok spot for a little sail after work.

You could go futher south near leigthon( the sandy beach), might be less choppy.

...with the mast

to be fair though I was sailing like an idiot, had been a long time since I was last on the water.

cheers for the link - will have a thorough read

maybe see you down at Dutchies.

cheers,
Ben.

Went to Dutch Inn (I think) next car park south from the Indian Tea Rooms.

Fantastic,

Good breeze and a lot of swell/chop

didn't break anything

result...

And again this arvo (Monday 25th)- the wind is from the South already (08:00) ..... must get a smaller sail.
