Howdy
Just made it back from Sandy Point - Wilsons Prom to Sydney in time to start our Winda Woppa program.....just! Left Thursday at the most Southern tip of Victoria and drove for 1250km back to sydney...all in all i've done 5500km in the last 2 weeks from North of Noosa, near Brisbane to Sandy Point in the South.....what a 10 day stretch that was, found plenty of good spots and wind!
For anyone who hasn't been to Sandy Point...it is fantastic! You can rent a house round the corner (5 min drive) for $700-$1250/week (Tony organised a nice one at $1250!!!) and the sailing is suberp!
S.W. howl across the sand dunes onto the speed course and the river makes for great sailing in Easterlies - which is what we mostly had!
It was a cool session that Tony Lorenz from Ralin organised complimented by some awesome food from his wife Sheryl.
Well done Tony..we need more social sessions like that one to get a solid push to promote Windsurfing....incidentally i met 4 past clients from Fiji that had been to Fiji over the previous years we have been operating in Fiji, who also popped into Sandy Point, because someone let it out I was done there for a few days.....nice to see you guys! They had driven for 5 hours to come and play with us.....
Would be also worth you stopping at Inverloch on the way down...another good spot!
Hope Tony does something again like this...

thanks more the comments warren.
most of the rest there were first timers to sandy point and totally blown away with the conditions, and wondering about going every weekend (divorces pending).
I particularly liked your stylish retrieval of azza's kiteboard as you sailed past and carrying it to the opposite end, all at planning speed[}:)].
the day after you left the easterly was as good but changed at lunch time to a 20knt SW and the speed course was open for business.
those who thought the easterly bank run was fantastic soon learnt the real value of Shallow Inlet.
Grant never contemplated that his strap placement would look so different to what he started the week with. He started the week just occasionally going for the rear strap too always in the straps and moving them to out and back positions.
It was similiar stories for all, including the day trippers.
There will be another in oct/nov and as for the food, most thought that was the best part.
We also will organise custom holidays for groups who windsurf.
and by the way windsurfers outnumbered kitesurfers.
so thanks to warren, phil, azza, brian, grant, lenny, rod for coming and making it a fun week.
best winds
