Forecast looks like that big southerly forecast for tomorrow has moved to Monday.

High tide at 10:30am, windguru and seabreeze both think it'll be close to 25 knots SE, can there ever be a better forecast for this scrumptious spot?

I'm trying to think of a way to make it better...

Nope... not yet...

haircut, nebbian....

are you guys hitting the shearwater again tomorrow,

was thinking of coming down.

goldie seems to be getting all the wind lately. went out vicki point around 10am and got a nice tan. seemed a bit stronger in the arvo but nothing spectacular.

That big southerly buster is busy working its way up the coast as we speak. It's over 35 knots at Norah Head at the moment, but hasn't hit Port Macquarie yet.
From the sounds of it the Wollongong boys had a blast today, looking at the graphs it's no wonder, Kiama's had 20 knots plus for the last three days straight

It's due to arrive on the gold coast on Sunday afternoon/night, so the wind might build up ahead of it (and be gusty). The only problem is that the forecast says it will be less than 10 knots, but Haircut proved today that living close to the sailing spot and sniffing the wind has better results than some dodgy algorithm

Not sure if I'll make it up. It's your call after all, what do your moon charts say?

the moon charts say you have got to be in it to win it.

noticed something interesting in the charts today, 2003 was a very good year.

haven't checked it for tomorrow, only do the magic at the WW events, and at the moment i am getting 50% so that means tossing a coin is just as accurate. but i am not giving up! 2 out of 4 could soon be 3 out of 5 and 4 out of 6.

in my defence, this year has been very odd so far wind wise.....
and um err,,,,,,we didn't get any westerlies either......
and ... oh yeah, we had no wind for like 6 weeks or something..

for tomorrow i am going from the pressure charts and they look good. hopefully the rain doesn't spoil it.

i'll go anyways in the arvo.

guru has 1 star....

LOL, this is the BOM's answer...

SW/SE winds 10/15 knots increasing to 20/25 knots at night. Local E/NE seabreezes during the afternoon. Seas 0.7 metres, rising to 1.2 metres at night. Few showers increasing to rain. Possible late thunder.

what does local E/NE seabreezes mean? local to who.... what a mixed up forecast.

I just made a cup of tea and looked at the tealeaves, couldn't figure out what they represented.

Even the Magic 8 ball
www.degraeve.com/magiceightball/ said "Don't count on it".

So I'll be watching the graphs in the morning

Well, the rain stayed out this morning and the sun is shining. Therefore the forecast is already wrong.
Everything is pointing to another windy day at shearwater (like the awesome one yesterday...)!

I'll be waiting...

Hmmmm that's the last time I go against the magic 8 ball's wisdom. Ah well at least we got to practice those duck flips. Three people all throwing their sails around like dervishes made for some interesting looks from passersby

Currently 30 knots steady at Cape Byron... and BANG a couple of big gusts just hit my place near Tweed Heads.

Dust off those small sails, I'll see the hardcore crew out at Shearwater tomorrow

"Signs point to Yes"...

The graph tells a bit of a story as well

I think it's definitely wettie territory there today though. Rain and wind aren't the best weather for boardies!

What an awesome day at the sheerwater.
My fingers start to get their feeling back. 5.6 was maybe a bit too big in the 40 knot gusts.
Looks like the winter is over.
