Have I said how good that 7.0 is yet?

Been restraining myself, honest...

...don't care if you were on a 5.6...

... MAN is it awesome!

Good call on the venue, t'was an excellent day

Never been underpowered on a 7, then overpowered on a 5 in the one day before... that wind just kept building and building. Seaway recorded a peak gust of 38 knots at one point!

Good to see the usual suspects out as well

well what an afternoon, when I packed the car this morning I wasnt expecting it to blow so F#$%^ hard lol
The smallest sail I had with me was my 6.0 haha.
Well Gestalt what did I say last night it was going to blow.
I should have listen to my own weather predictions.

haha Kana yep I bailed on the waves today, looked a bit gusty and s/w at the alley when I was surfing, but Shearwater had a strong s/e cranking, used my 5.0, fully powered, sometimes overpowered to buggery! Big wind chop up there when the wind gets up. Only sailed for about 1 hour at the most, was good though.

I'm with you goldcoastmoz. Jumped onto seabreeze after lunch and notice the green . Was tossing up all afternoon whether to leave work early. Did the maths:
a) Time to get home: 30mins.
b) Time to get kit into car and drive to venue: 45mins.
c) Time to rig up 20mins (Have to setup new board).

Would of hit the water at 5 but it was always in the back of my mind that the wind would die and KICK me in the guts again.

Ahhh, the PAIN

Well done to all the guys who got out. Was it really that good? I don't want to know

yeah, agree, it's good to hear others are makin the most of it.

i stayed away from the forum last night because i had to work while 35 knot winds flew past the window. sad sad stuff!

but it's great to read the day you guys with more flexible lifestyles have had. so how was today? i watched all the surf cams from the office today but didn't see anyone out?

p.s. vando, you know not to listen to me......

G'Day all the sailboarders at Shearwater, I have found a black Naish vest harness and blue neopreme helmet that was left behind on Wedensday afternoon at Shearwater. I will drop it into SurfFx today, so if it is yours go and see Greeny at the shop.
