ill be there if it gets up, otherwise surfing at the alley, its been 4ft plus. on gold coast news they said 20-25kn se , so it may get up, Ill check online in the am.

First there's the Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise fiasco, and then within the space of a few hours the forecast goes down by a good 30%, the difference between planing and slogging!
Just noticed that there's a coolangatta forecast there as well. Now if it says 12 knots on the forecast, does it mean 8 or 16 on the water?

If you can believe the hallucinations then the wind will be good in the morning but die off in the arvo, tide at the golf course is bad in the morning, good in the afternoon. Seabreeze seems to agree with this as well.

Car's packed, was going to try for a dawn sail at Shearwater, will have to see what the actual readings are in the morning. So either way no golf course for me.

but it's low tide at 10.40am and high at 5.30pm? We'd only have conveyor belt effect until 11.30-ish at shearwater.

Thanks alot Padi. It's unlikely that i will make it to shearwater today. I think if i go anywhere it will just be the glf course. Will hopefully catch u next week sometime though

golf course - it's just the tweed river. It's the wide point adjacent to cook island. It has the same tide as the train, with good conveyor belt action like the shearwater (wind against tide for most of the day today, if there's wind)
