Don't blame Huey, try BOM you can't expect to get good winds on the back of a trough. Don't worry you didn't miss anything, it was maybe sailable for 1/2 hour just after 5 pm.

We have a trick when we get a lull when surfing and that is for one of us to slag off Huey, without fail Huey will with all vengeance then deliver a set straight on the head of the offending person, all the rest of the crew would then get a nice wave provided they weren't sitting right next to that person.

Now as I live 2km's inshore I figured it's gonna have to be a ball tearer set to get me

People only blame the BOM as they haven't the courage to say Huey's a Fat Lazy Basket who snuck of down the local instead of delivering the goods.

YES

How's todays forecast

Synoptic Situation
Deep surface trough near the west coast is currently moving inland. Expect
strong to gale force S'ly winds on Sunday.

Forecasts:
Sunday until midnight: S'ly winds 20/30 knots increasing to 30/35 knots from late morning. Seas 2.0m to 3.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.6m.
Winds on Melville Water: About 5 to 8 knots lighter in the afternoon.

Hardies Run may get a bit of a tickle from Elmo today, Gotta feeling I'm going to have to put away the 6's though and find something a Tad smaller

Alby

As a side note

I caught that little skunk and had the little beggar for dinner last night.

They are a little bit boney and a bit stronger flavour than I'd like, but at least that one won't be stuffing me around any more

Elmo you must have had a good day today
I went down to Pinnaroo this afternoon just for a look (still not back on water) It was just screaming, most going down to 4's to stay with it
Couple of huge prangs One bloke on a 6 took about 20 minutes to get back in, 20m crash, water start 20m crash, water start 20m cash and so on.
Only dumb thing happened was some Zyloom launched a kite on the beach, took out a couple of resting boards and sails.
By the time I left, he still hadn’t managed to get near the water.
Makes you wonder about some peoples mental approach to days like today and wind speed of 30 knots.

Bubs, bit of a bugger A
Ahh well, there is the weekends, and if you do OK the skills you gain will allow you the work life needed for windsurfing after your school days are over.

Yeah were still yet to try out our new board and the ones getting repaired (huge thanks to reiffo for that). Dad says we will asap. Sundays the only day i can windsurf now, and that means home work has to be done on a friday night. Or at worst a Saturday night . Wish i was close enough to the beach to windsurf after school.

Derek forgot his 4.0 was very uncomfortable on his 4.7 so didn't last long. I had a couple of runs on the new board to see how it goes in those conditions, (better in lighter winds). By the time I'd changed over to my high wind board, Anthony was back on the beach blood streeming down his face, (head butted boom when a high speed gybe went wrong). that left me all by myself, getting big airs off small chop, gybes were horrible, inside the reef was in wind shadow from the point, plenty of smooth water to do high speed carve gybes. But no wind there!!! The as you dog to the reef line a solid wall of air hits you, not real comfortable, kept thinking of Anthony's bloody face, and me by myself. Wimped out, by the time I'd down rigged 2 more guys went out and stayed there for a couple of hours!
