Hey - I believe this is not uncommon but my fibreglass mast has become siezed into a one piece. Any tips, suggestions to pull it apart without damage or do I really have to start using the roof rack again!!!??? Cheers, Phil.

There's 2 methods, the one I use is multiple booms, (as many as needed to get enough grip, although 1 each side usually does it). Pour some water down the inside and twist.
The other one that's been posted here before is to support the mast at each end and flex it in the middle, I'm not all that sure I've got that exactly right, never done it, but you could try a site search for the previuos posts.

eight friends. 4 on each end, twisting the opposite way.

....and a person in the middle wobbling it up and down fairly quickly.

For the two boom method, some of that non-slip placemat stuff wrapped around the mast where you attached the boom would help get some grip too

I'm sure there's a massive thread on this forum from about 3 weeks ago - search for that as it had loads of advice. I always find the wobbly technique the best - one person on each end and shake the mast as hard as you can (so the middle section moves up and down).

Have fun!
