Hi

i am looking for a secondhand car, it needs to be able to take boards internally, would anybody on the forums know if you can get a 240 cm board inside one of these vehicles - not the current shape impreza but the previous model.

the other option i am looking at is holden astra wagon, however i would prefer to stick with subaru ( and the forrester/outback/liberty are too expensive).

any help gratefully appreciated

thanks

Max

If you get the hatch, you will fit a 240cm easily (I used to put a 280cm in). The sedan does not have split folding seats though.

Obviously to fit it, you are going to need to put the back seats down, and then slide the passenger seat forward and the seat back backwards over the rear seats that are down. Then slide in easily.

I am currently doing this with a 98 WRX also (which is smaller). I just fit my JP FSW 92 into a 98 sedan... the earlier models had split folding in the sedan also... but it is really a tight fit to get it in, as the foot straps catch on the top of the opening in the rear seats until the back of the board clears the boot and drops, and then fine once it is in.

I had a 05 WRX hatch and it will fit no problem. You can allways get the roof racks for it too. the rails are already there so you just need to buy the croos bars from rola or subaru.
