Had a pretty decent sail at Goolwa today, approx 2 hours of steady 18-23 knot winds, racked up a respectable 26.3 knots with my first effort with wifeys GPS, WOOT!

Still no gybes :(

Where was everyone in SA today? Bogey? Semaphore?

G'day Divaldo

There was no wind on the metro coast or at Boggy. I phoned the wind station yesterday arvo and there was only 5 knots.

I should of gone to Kent Reserve (Victor). You may have been to only one to sail yesterday.

There were a few guys out, one fella on a JP, said a brief hello. Also a father son duo that always rock up regardless of conditions, they have the most loaded up fwd you have ever seen, always fun to watch them unload :)
Also a regular local, drives a honda with the worst rust I have ever seen, if you get the angle right you can see straight through it, has a great collection of retro sailing gear, but always rips, looked like he got into a bit of trouble yesterday....ended up swimming to hindmarsh island (prolly could have walked if he stood up, nevermind) sunk his whole rig, lucky to find it after his board blew away.

I love feeling pain after a decent sail!

PS: Darren, not sure Kent would have been an option, south easterly, granite island might have got in the way! I did hear that Day st was only 1ft and windy!

Hi guys
Beautiful day on Sunday here snow everywhere and snowing like crazy today. What an isolated spot I find myself in - no mobile signal, as yet no internet, no big brother channel ten just 67 channels of nothing and speaking of big brother its kind of like that living in staff accommodation. Really interesting people. Can't wait until there's enough snow to ski, this weekend is the big opening. There's a couple of guys who are learning to kiteboard and they brought their kites to have a go on the snow so I'm gonna try to get some photos if I am not working when they do. There is quite a large flat area in between the mountains. Really suffering today from drinking red wine with the bosses, hope they are suffering too. Good to hear you got in the water. I hear its pretty cold back there!!

Had a good one too at Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast NSW, 25 knots +++ of southerly and 3/4 to mast high waves.
Lovin these east coast lows.
Another one on the way for Tue/Wed.

I was talking to him when he came in. He said it was working yesterday and Sunday.
