Hi,I want to buy new sail for extreme lightwind conditions. It will be paired with Starboards new Formula 177 (my first time with FW) and JPs Superlightwind 154. At this moment I own NP H2 8,7 and 10,0 (2 cam freerace). My types are NP RS Racing EVO8 11,0 or Severne R7 10,7 or 11,5. My weight is about 71 kg (156 lbs), but soon will be a little bit more, up to 75 (165 lbs).

What option should I take:
- buy Severne 11,5 and keep H2 8,7 + 10 (wouldn't be 11,5 to much for pure recreation?)
- buy Severne 10,7, keep H2 8,7 and give away of H2 10 (or also keep it)
- buy EVO8 11 and keep both of H2 or sell 10

Hope you will help me with this issue :)

Do you go back and forth or upwind and downwind?
back forth around 9.5 is enough.
Formula sails are cool for course racing but a bit full on if just going back and forth. (beam reaching)

Congrats on the new formula 177 man those things look awesome I think they are going to dominate. The 8.7 is perfect for the SLW90 I use my R4 8.6 on my 2012 SLW90 and while I drop a tiny bit of early planing it's a lot more lively and fun to use.

I also find that 8,7 is great for SLW90. So is 10,0 :)

I have decided to go with 10,7 Severne R7 - find out how it will perform (my first time with FW). So the range will be 8,7 (2cam) + 10,7(5cam). Later than, maybe will buy something bigger if necessary.
