Because of the influx of foreign sailors flooding onto our shores (3 in the last 5 yrs 🎉), the republic has commissioned a new spot guide.

There's about 30 of our well known breaks in it, enough to get you going. Once you start travelling around its not hard to find a wave.

That's a beautiful effort Dave that's going to generate a lot of interest. Does Tassie have a regular season like WA? When's the best time to go?

Thanks Jens! We sail year round. Summer is probably the best time, Jan to Mar. The last few years we've seen NE patterns which last for days, followed by short sharp SW changes. These favour the east and west coasts. But frontal systems and westerlies come thru at any time of year. The trick for tassie wavesailing is to be mobile, you can usually find somewhere that suits the conditions.
