Just wondering, what size sails n boards do you most often use at the Train mid-year?

probably 6.5m to 7.5m would be the average for most of the 75kg or overs. i'm just under 70 and have managed to get through the last couple of seasons with only a 5.6m wavesail as my big sail

This time of year its all or nothing(usually)you will probably find more people up at shearwater if its very south or SW, Last week at Wello there was 5 Gold Coast sailors so be prepared to travel, if its pure west you can sail from the bank oppersite the train (Seaworld or further around near that big tied up barge)but it can gust from 0-30knts quite quickly.
Around the train side you may see a group of guys sipping warm drinks on deck chairs(this isnt a gay area so feel free to say hello dispite what you may think)they will be full of advice and depending who you talk to it will make some sense.Kathy will enlighten you between ****!
Unfortunately there is no simple one ansewer to your question.Bring all your kit.

lots of rubber, gloves, wetsuit ankle to wrist all season, helmet, booties, flotation device, ummm, thats about it. oh yes a chair. a thermos with hot soup is a good idea as well. oh and a watering can.
