Sailed Pelican Park for the first time in many years. Wind was up and down and water pretty flat in close with chop further out, similar to Wello (sailed there for the first time last weekend). Main difference was you don't have to dredge out as far as Wello to get going. About 9 boards and a couple of kites. Plenty of parking, shop nearby toilets and big kids play area. Main drama is it seems to be SEQ jetski HQ so you could be unlucky if they are running an event.

Hi Kerry the tide at wello in the afternoon was a shocker 0.3 low tide today.
I got down about 9.00am so the tide was good to about lunch time.
Is Pelican Park tide affected.

hi vando, i havn't sailed at wello, but sailed with kerry today and there is plenty of water at bells/pelican park, the tide is a problem further east at woody point and as kerry mentioned the jet skis are a problem if they are out had to sail at woody point last week end because of the #%&*^#@ jet skis, come up and try it in the next srong westerly

Vando here are a few of Lungs from last year that he showed me to convince me to try Bells / Pelican. No drama at low tide in fact the rock wall protection makes it so easy to launch.
