Has anyone sailed any of the many lakes in WA?
If so, is there any windy season or weather patterns worth following?
I sailed Lake Poorarecup near Frankland when learning about seven years ago. We've been back there camping a couple of times (with a runabout and ski biscuit) but no wind... Nice spot though!!!
Any seasonal camping tips much appreciated too, like "March flys are bad in Pemberton around Feb!" & "Don't eat the yellow snow!"

I would not bother with lake sailing, what with the 10 000km perfect coastline we have plus Swan River, Canning River if it is windy and the Peel Inlet. Though if desperate the dams near Harvey are do-able.

Other parts: Pemberton has no lakes. March flies come out in March, and the only snow we get here melts before anyone can piss on it

My local point break looks like a big lake at the moment.
