Hardcore waves, Gnaraloo (1000km north Perth) in Sept - mid November.
Most people though start in early November at Geraldton which is 4hrs north of Perth, Sunset Beach caravan park (nice option) or camp at Coronation beach about 50km north of town (cheap option, and you'll sail Corro's mostly if intermediate - good. Top wave spot there too but a big flat area on the inside for intermediate sailors.

Late Dec move down to Lancelin (very similar to Corro's). Lancelin is only 1.5hrs north of perth so you can spend all Dec - Jan in Perth and commute to Lancelin for the good days if you want.

If you are bring some Euro frieds and and you are into big waves don't forget to drop into Hyden after you have done Esperance.
