have been out of action since winter began, thinking about getting back into it in the next week or so. What has the water temp been like in Manly and on Gold Coast? I dont use a wet suit so keen to get an idea if its too cold still.

so far i have sailed all winter without a wetsuit. it has been really warm. not the usual cold westerlies that we should have been getting. don;t get me wrong. i would have preffered to have had a wetsuit but went out none the less.

just do it.

I use a 2/3 full steamer around Manly and Wello - anything less is hypothermia risk with wind chill!!!

You can use less, but the extremities start to get pretty chilly after a while

must be getting soft in my old age!!
