Weed Fin - Right Size?

When using a weed fin do you select the size you would typically use for the equipment and conditions? Someone mentioned going up a size...ie for a 30 cm non-weed use a 32 weed. Thanks for your advise.

Since where on the topic Whats the thoughts on JP FSW 91 5.5 Storm in 16- 20knots Currently using select 30cm an get a bit of tail walk. Leading edge fins seams to be the go in Saftey bay ?

Tail walking in 16-20 knots with that combo? You need more downhaul/outhaul for sure! Or move your mast base forwards a bit. What's your weight?

A 5.5 and a 91 litre board should lap up those conditions, it should be good till maybe 23-25 knots and then you'd change down a sail size, imo.

Hey 77 Kg the select weed fins seam to have a more pronounced rake tham the leading edge. was on 90% max down haul and 50%outhual mainly during the 23 25 gusts driving up wind
