I am looking for a new wetsuit. It has been a long time since I last bought one for windsurfing - to be used in WA primarily now in the winter and spring period. Also interested in new rashie type layer tops for wearing underneath the wetsuit for added warmth and that can also be worn alone on cooler days in summer etc. Have started looking at NP, Wind Warrior etc - all help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Consider Triple-X Titanium rashies to full wetties from 0.5mm to 3mm(range with prices at our site - click on left to link). Get 10% off when you mention Seabreeze.

Thanks, should have looked further. Does anyone know if mystic or Windwarrior are stocked by anyone in Perth, or just online orders for Windwarrior. Still need info on good wetsuits for windsurfing.

Thanks

TonyC windwarrior on line. Kev will look after you, send him an email from web page. Think store in Geraldton stocks his gear. But Kev will see you right if you send him message.
Blast shield are just brilliant, used mine today under spring suit, warm as.

TonyC i have a windwarrior springsuit i bought last year.

the winter up here this year has been the coldest in 60 years or something and the suit has gotten me through. it's very very comfy, stretches in all the right places and keeps me warm. only prob i have had is my feet get very cold...

Tony,

I ended up choosing an ONeil full steamer. Great upper body felxibility is the point that finally won me over. For windsurfing you don't necessarily need the full welded and blind-stitched seams all over as wind chill is a bigger factor than continual immersion. I wear a crash vest/weight vest in cold conditions and this assists in heat loss across the chest area (makes a difference)- toes still get v.cold though!!

I have a Rip Curl windsurfing specific wetsuit - 100% smoothskin so no wind chill!!! It's awesome and 5/4 so probably overkill for WA but smooth skin is the way forward for winter windsurfing wetsuits.

Smooth is definately warmer - I have a 5/4 O'Neil Evo, which I ordered from Pommyland, which keeps me in the water all through a southern Tassie winter. Only problem with smooth is if you surf, the legs and knees rip real easily. I choose O'Neil because they fit a tall thin person better than other brands (or the ones I've tried)(size medium / tall fits 184cm, 73Kg like a glove)
