Man, this time of year sucks big time.

All last week, Thursday was supposed to be Maaassssiiiive. As in, 30+ knot winds, all from the SE, and the wind was supposed to last for three or four days.

I'd planned big sessions up at Shearwater, stretched in anticipation, decided not to take that trip down to Sydney, dusted off my 4.5m sail, looked longingly at my waveboard, then hit refresh on Windguru and Seabreeze...

WTF???

Down to 12 knots if we're lucky. Yes yes I know long range forecasts aren't all that accurate, but in summer if the guru says three stars then you can be pretty much guaranteed of a sail at least!

*sigh*

Just hope the wind picks up in time for the next WindWanderers meet *crosses fingers*

Hang on every event I've turned up to there has been wind, I cant help it if I know it's not going to be windy.

hey guys, stop moping about, go get a surfboard and hit the waves, Ive surfed basically everyday for the past 2 months now, you just know there aint goin to be any wind, so why bother sitting around for that BIG 12 knot afternoon, the ocean beckons in more way than one my friends see you when its 20 knots + ! so Im guessing september onwards. until that day, you will find me at any beach with a decent wave from D'Bar to Kurrawa, peace out!

Tell me about it... I've been teaching the last 3 weeks mon->fri (8.15->3.15), and managed to get the best kite last Sunday for 2 hours in the most consistant E'ly we've had in a long time
