Following from the discussion on the tea-stained look of boards used in Melville "Water", pardon my ignorance but what is CLR & where do I get some?

"CLR" is its name and it = calcium, lime and rust (removal)

Available from Bunnings, KMart? or hardware stores.

Bad attitude. There is room for every body on the water. Besides at every spot i kite besides maybe cables the kites stay well away from the wind surfers.

Hey Keysey,
I think the word here is sarcasm!!! Don't take it so personally. I mean, it's not your fault you are a tea bagger.Joking aside, windsurfers and kites do mix well in big open spaces, like down here in Safety bay. The Kiters use Shoal Water, the windsurfers the pond in SB. The only issue arises when you get some real idiots coming down and going crazy in the pond, jumping over windsurfers, fishermen, swimmers and beach walkers. This happened last weekend, and in fairness to the local kiters, they were all from Europe and had never kited here before. A few words of encoragment( like #*#* off) saw them pack up and go and kite some where more sensible. The problem is ,that a small percentage of idiots gives every body a bad name, and is true about all sports.

Have to get out and kite again. Have not done it for 4 years!!

Thanks Simon.. voice of sanity! I don't mind kiters really, so long as they know what starboard is, look where they're going and not skywards all the time.. and in particular, look before they turn or jump. Mind you, some of that's true for windsurfers too!

Ps should there be a forum for people who wind and kite surf.. kind of bi-surfers?

gelimac??? sounds like it belongs on the shelf next to condoms and lubricant???

anyway about this windsurfer kiteboarder thing...i have just come from surfing into windsurfing and wished i had started it a long time ago... i love the vibe and atmosphere out on the water... one thing i hate about surfing is that its too agressive not just between surfers but it seems like a war needs to be had against boogers and stand ups = bad vibes theres always a pecking order at a break... if you have been in the water longer your better than those who came after you and blah blah blah... but catching the wind i feel is for everyone wether kiting, sailing, windsurfing ,the vibe should be kept equal... i mean im not the best windsurfer out but ive taken the time to learn the rules on the water and i do know where starboard is (was that my left or right?) kidding but im having fun and i see other people having fun too. i try and go faster than the better windsurfers but that cool coz im pushing myself and learning quickly plus others are willing to help and give advise anyway enough from my soap box... see ya out on the water
ps my ankle is somewhat better so im back into it
pss hey simon i will make it down to the bay soon

It's all yours if you want it.
The van will have to be given a full apology by you for all your cruel banter at it's expense, before it gives up it's goods.

give me a call on 0438 853785 to arrange.

Now if the van was like one of those LG fridges and had a computer
screen on the door and an internet connection I could talk directly
to it and grovel.

What the F*()(*& does one want with an internet connected fridge anyway...

I'll give you a call

I thought that ad was a piss take at first as well. Still not convinced you can actually buy one!!
So, sorry, no electronic gimics avialable, just a dirty back window, otherwise the van would have hit back on this forum ages ago.

With those fridges you can have a movie of your favourite porn star on the front of your fridge to greet you each time you reach for a beer.
Isnt that a dream some true???

May your van Rest In Peace Simon
although it last lots longer than predicted.
SIMS metal actually buy rust off you??

i did some work for some one who had one of those fridges and it is full on for the rich and lazy i give you the tip he said he runs out of stuff like veges and he goes to the funky screen which is connected to broadband internet 24 hours and goes to a site where he orders and it gets home delevered within 48 hours full on huh but he doesnt need pornstar on the fridge he just orders one on that funky screen and she just comes right out of the freezer with hard nipples and all now thats what i call a fridge....

THere you go - I just went to the LG website

http://www.lge.com.au/ProductList.asp?ContentType=product&Subtype=Household&ProductGroup=fridge

See that fridge will cost you only $16,999

Now to my way of thinking you could buy a perfectly
good fridge for $2,000 and a pretty zippy laptop for
$3,000. Now let me see....

That leaves me $12,000 for windsurfing gear...

Now that's what I call smart thinking...
