Yeah i herd from one guy i sailed with they were an awsome board. Fast and with a big sail range. But i don't know when racing season finishes or anything like that.

I think windsurfing or specifically slalom/speed is having a second wind so to speak due to GPS etc. It used to be guys would update every season or more and there was forever a good range of near new kit available.

Why the isonic:
What are the alternatives; with isonic you know you get a fast reasonably unquirky board with a good construction. One thing starboard do is beat up their results alot so you have an idea of what you are getting, as an example look at buying a tabou manta and without subscribing to any magazines find out what the board behaves like before you get it.
Price; isonic's are well priced- several hundred cheaper than f2, fanatic & carbon art and around $1000 cheaper than thommen1 and AB+.

It could also be down to sailor ability, some people go out spend a fortune on gear and will never be fast. They buy brand x cause it's the s*** and they either find they are too hard or not fun to use or get disheartened at being beaten all the time.
