Lano is usually a prevailing south wester (in summer) so the area in front of the caravan park near the point is the go (known as main break)
has a pretty big section of flat water before you hit the wavey bit
or you can head out from near the jetties to "hole in the wall".
not sure where would be best on an easterly or frontal norwester.
