When I was at Sandy Point I met Tony and he told me about some lake in SA, which recently is more and more popular as great windsurfing spot...plenty grass around to rig and "always" windy. I can't remember the name of this lake, I know somewhere in SA...can anybody help ???

I live near Lake Bonney,Barmera in s.a,the lake has about a kilometer of lawns around the shore to rig on.Don't know about it being more popular(if it is this lake) at present there are only 2 of us windsurfing here but now that the weather is warming up may get some more out.
This time of year we get good wind 2 times a week, the lake has also been disconnected from the Murray to save water during the drought,it will take at least 2-3 years before it dries up.Once the water level drops by 1m we could potentialy have the best speed spot in sa.

I recall bonney being a lake with lots of stumps as the water level drops. Saw a new ski boat rip its arse out there once. one less stink boat in my book

There are stumps around but there are plenty of great clear areas, the stumps are only along the shoreline.
