Sorry if you did but I think I've sorted out the crew now and got a very nice JP slalom fin for the excite ride and a DVD called moments. So yeehah.... just gotta work on the Futura 122 for next year.
Noice! But we don't suscribe to the mass consumerism mentality promoted by the large retailers that's associated with these sorts of days. I did get a nice hand made card with a drawing of a windsurfer on it, and my wife is going to cook me a roast beef for dinner (not a bad gift coming from a vegetarian)
A couple of cards - one handmade by me little bloke (6) with a hand coloured picture frame with him in it, a hug from my near teen daughter (you can never get enough of these from your kids)- and some cash towards a quiver bag for taking the family on the October sailing expedition to beachport.
Only problem is now I have to take them to the Royal Adelaide Show!
I got my father a well used belt ,a really poor quality pair of socks and a Fire and Rescue calling card. Its payback for the $5 note and the 2nd hand card card for my birthday.(Apparently my birthday just happened to coincide with financial belt tightening,to the day.) Dont say i'm not generous because I once gave him a cheque for $1000000.[}:)] but he hasnt cashed it yet(predated to 2025)[}:)]
'Darrell-Lea' (prob more for the missus though?!?) and a 'stubbie hoder-holder (90mm pvc tube)
I also got a hand made booklet from my young blokes kinder......all the kids had to put in what their dads liked to do...50% "my dad likes to work" - a couple "my dad likes to swim" - one "my dad likes to plant flowers" (WTF???) - and my young bloke "my dad likes to windsurf!"
My Son, just back from New Guinea after a months stint for Barrack Gold. He had a video that the chopper pilots and he put together Think the daughter in-law has banned him from going again, after watching the footage. That is some rugged country. Think Easty would understand Plus the hand made cards from Granddaughters, lots of hand drawn pictures of Grandpa windsurfing. I look shocking with purple glitter hair
Oh and Elmo, guess who else had to go into work this morning. Goodness, some people who work with me leave their gray matter in the sack when they go to work sometimes
Massive book to readand a grade 1 fathers day place mat but I ended up cooking breakfast, and have just been informed that I am on call for dinner as well
Mine are too little to understand it yet, so no presents for me...just the internal satisfaction knowing that I get to have 2 special days in the year and give myself a big pat on the back.
